Something I’m working On, Pt 4

Michael York and Farrah Fawcett stare down an extra from a production of Antigone

March 27th

I can forgive my ex-girlfriend for a lot of things but NOT for neglecting to tell me that she was imaginary.

I read that a 102 year old Italian woman has managed to survive Covid. Her nephew told the press, “The virus surrendered in front of her”. She was in the hospital for twenty days, so the “surrender” was a little drawn out. Her physician, Dr. Vera Sicbaldi said, “She only had some mild coronavirus symptoms, so we tested her and she was positive, but we did very little, she recovered on her own”…which isn’t surprising considering there are no treatments or cures available, at this time.

Madrid announced they would be opening an improvised morgue in the next few days to increase the city’s capacity to deal with the growing Covid-19 fatalities. If you want to know when to panic, just listen for the phrases “improvised morgue”, “never-ending horror” or “vegan and sugar-free”.

Ecuador announced it would be building a mass grave for Covid victims. This mass grave will hold three hundred victims and will be vegan and sugar-free…

I don’t like the concept of mass graves because of the potential for some to get buried alive. We don’t know a LOT about Edgar Allen Poe, but we DO know he was against being buried alive. He wrote an entire short story about it. It was also the basis for the horror and vegan and sugar-free Fall of the House of Usher. It’s a blessing to remember that no one is truly dead as long as they live in our hearts. Don’t expect them to respond to your emails, though. And, we can all take comfort in the fact that one is only buried alive for an hour or so and then it is no longer a big problem.

Horse-faced actor, Michael York, was born this day in 1942. His credits range from Cabaret and The Three Musketeers to The Island of Dr. Moreau. He might be best-known for the movie Logan’s Run. If this is true, York could potentially sue God for malpractice.
