Treat every gun as if it is a loaded one… unless you are pretty sure it is not, or you want to scare your cousin.

They say, the secret of gun safety is a gun’s safety. You might think that would be easy to remember, but, when you actually need that information and remember this, it will just be confusing.

If a gun discharges accidentally, experts recommend that the hole in front of the gun be facing away from you.

Always assume a weapon is loaded. “Unloaded” weapons kill thousands each year, often when they are “thrown” at “someone”

It is dangerous to sleep with a gun under your pillow. There’s a very real chance it will suffocate under there…

Gun safety is EVERYONE’S responsibility… so, if you DO have an accident, you can spread the blame around.

When carrying a loaded firearm, point it at the ground to avoid accidentally hitting another person and to be ready for the inevitable earthworm uprising.

Wear ear protection when shooting.  If none is available, shout really loud when you shoot so you don’t hear it.

Do not use a firearm while drunk or high or depressed… especially if the reason for your depression is that you are not drunk, high or shooting stuff.

Children should not play with loaded weapons unless there are some targets set up.
